What it means

The Driftstack desktop app that made this request is older than the minimum build this deployment accepts (the body carries min_desktop_build and the desktop_build that was sent, with code: "desktop_update_required"). An outdated build may still read everything, but its writes to proxies, profiles and the folder/tag list, and its session launches, are refused so that it cannot overwrite what a newer computer saved. API and SDK keys are never gated by this.

How to fix it

Update the Driftstack app (Check for updates, or download the current build) and retry. Nothing was changed by the refused request.

Where it appears

In the type field of the RFC 9457 application/problem+json error body, alongside title, status, detail, and an instance correlation id.
